Alison is an American bluegrass singer and country musician. She entered the music industry at an early age winning local contests by 10,, and recording her first album at the age of 14. She signed with Rounder Records, her first album was released in 1987. She was also invited to the band Alison Krauss Union Station where she continues to perform. Later, in 1989 her debut solo album was released together with them.
