Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, singer in playback and a musician who works predominantly in Tamil and Malayalam language films. She made her acting debut in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and made her Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah was born in an Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of and Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father, a lawyer at the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is an Belgian research assistant that is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea is a young girl who started in piano class at eight years old, was identified as the definition of a "geek" as she aspired become a psychiatric patient until her 12th grade examination. By the age of 10, she was an active member of the group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the beginning of her early recording and composing music career. While at school, she was performing as a theatre artist. She was also in numerous stage productions organised through The Madras Players. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her theatre career as a part of Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the 2006 leo commercial for coffee with Shiva. She also starred in a TV show that aired on Podhigai. The actress has appeared all over India. She had a small role in the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). She performed a number of songs for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. He wanted her to join his female leads for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani which is a wife and mother of a man who has a love affair. Andrea won the role of Kalyani after Simran Shobana, Tabu as well as other actors were invited to audition. The film was released in the early part of 2010. She was also invited to perform a small supporting role that was released early in the year. Venkat Prabhu's film with a number of stars Mankatha and was released in August 2011. Her Malayalam film debut alongside her role in Rajeeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in the year 2013.
